Sister’s Six and One to Grow On has got to be one of the best new books of the holiday season. The combination of humorous twists and turns that overlay a well thought out mystery is something that no one should miss. There were a few heart wrenching parts that required a tissue, but the combination of comedy and drama was done to perfection. There are few words that can be used to describe my overall reaction to this book except to say it is a MUST READ!!!!
While I don’t see men being the target audience there are parts that everyone can appreciate. The hysterical antics of the goat, Buford, and the dog, Spats, add a touch of realism to the crazy lives of the sisters in the story. One of my favorite parts is when Jay-Jay tries to can carrots in the oven and the whole thing explodes all over the kitchen. While this is a very simple view of the whole scenario I couldn’t stop laughing to turn the page. There are many more zany moments just like that in this book.
The only disappoint in my mind is that the story ended. I can’t wait for the next edition and hope that I will be engrossed in yet another adventure of the Sisters-Six. There are very few stories that can capture the imagination like this author has and I hope to see many more works by her. I am definitely putting her on my “favorite author” list.

It was a very enjoyable book, lots of humor and good plot line. Every time I went to put the book down, one of the sisters would get into something else, and I had to keep reading.
Can’t wait for the next in the series of six to come out.
